About Akoma
The Akoma Family Centre located in Dartmouth provides a healthy, safe and nurturing home for siblings of all races in the care of the province. Children who are at the Akoma Family Centre come from throughout the province and benefit from programs such as art and music therapy, dog therapy, and recreational therapy. These effective but costly programs help grow healthy minds, bodies, and spirits. More funds are needed to meet their needs. All the funds raised at the February 11th 'Feel the Love' musical extravaganza will go to programs that enhance the care of children living at Akoma.
