The signature restaurant at Enchantment Resort, Che Ah Chi serves modern American cuisine with a focus on Arizona-sourced ingredients. Dine outdoors or in the restaurant with walls of glass overlooking the Red Rocks of Boynton Canyon. A great spot to catch sunsets, and about a 20-minute drive from L’Auberge.

L’Auberge Casino Resort Review: An Overview

L’Auberge (pronounced low BERGE) Casino Resort is impressive from the moment you see its tower in the distance. It has both a waterside area (not recommended to swim in but still pretty to talk a stroll near) and two pools plus a lazy river. Yep, if you’re staying on property, with or without kiddos, you can grab a tube and float around. During my visit, it was pretty windy/cold so I didn’t have the chance, but I really wanted to. If you’re visiting without kiddos, there’s a heated adults-only pool that looks lovely.

There are also plenty of restaurants from deli-style to more upscale. Truly, the entire resort has a casual atmosphere, so there’s no need to dress up unless you want to. I mean, give me an excuse to wear a dress and heels and I’m on board.

I’ve been to several casinos and the actual gaming floor is not huge, which is totally fine. I hit the slot machines twice during my stay and never had a problem finding a machine. If you like a little less gambling when it comes to gaming, there’s also a small arcade.

Lastly, there are two options for parking. You can either choose to park in the main lot or in the covered parking garage. I did both during my visit. If it was a hot day, I’d definitely pick the garage to keep my vehicle cooler, though. If you want valet, you can choose the option when you check in. It’s complimentary. Of course, if you need your vehicle on a busy day, you’re going to have to wait a bit.

L’Auberge Accommodations: Palais Suite

For the luxury suites, there’s a special VIP check-in area near their elevators, but you can use the main check-in desk as well. During my visit, I had the privilege of staying in a Palais Suite and the first word that comes to mind is wow! I’ve stayed in swanky rooms before (think The Ritz Carlton Central Park in New York City) and my suite was very close in luxuriousness. There’s one wall, overlooking the pool area, that’s all windows, so it was fun to see the sun set over the pool.

After walking through the foyer area with a master light switch, seeing the back lit wall behind the flatscreen television was stunning. The suite offered a wet bar/fridge area with coffee maker. My king bed was very comfortable, but the most impressive area was definitely the bathroom. Larger than a few hotels I’ve stayed at, the marble floors and vanities (there are two separate sink areas!) were spacious and far enough apart that my teen daughter and I were nowhere near each other getting ready in the morning.

There’s both a giant tub (with water flowing from the ceiling to fill) and a large, walk-in shower with a built-in seat. I tried both, but ended up using the shower the most. The tub was fun, don’t get me wrong, but it was more convenient to grab a shower.

Lastly, there’s a separate toilet/bidet area in the bathroom. If you like bidets, this one was a basic style (not like the Japanese ones!) and sits adjacent to the toilet.

L’Auberge Casino Dining

At L’Auberge, there are seven restaurants. Ranging from classic American/Southern to Asian, they all smelled really good. But, visiting for a press trip, we did end up eating off property most days.

There are two that I can recommend, however: Jack Daniel’s Bar & Grill and Modern Pantry. Both offer seating or takeout, but I’d recommend having a sit-down meal at Jack Daniel’s. If I can offer a little backstory, the restaurant’s head chef has done some fine things with its menu. VERY good barbecue and side dishes, BTW.

Restaurants

As for Modern Pantry, it has everything from gelato to paninis and coffee.

And if you don’t want to dine in, there are both a Walmart and Target just a few minutes away. We actually hit them both before we checked in to stock up on goodies and drinks to leave in our suite’s mini fridge.

L’Auberge Casino Lake Charles Review: Final Verdict?

Would I stay at L’Auberge again? In a hot minute. The casino is clean and comfortable and the staff was absolutely lovely. I loved the decor of our suite and really felt at home.
