888poker has finally resolved its six-week network connectivity issues and traffic has increased on the network to levels not seen since March.

Traffic started to decline when the 888poker network first began to experience network connectivity issues. As the problems continued, PokerFuse reported that the seven-day moving average of online cash-game players decreased 10 percent in late October to 2,000 cash-game seats.

On and off for about six weeks, 888poker players were receiving generic messages citing 'technical problems' that disrupted many tournaments and temporarily killed other games on the site. While the reason for the network connectivity problems has not been disclosed by 888poker, the issues appear to now be a thing of the past.

According to the industry data published by PokerScout, 888poker not only rebounded to levels before the connectivity issues began, but the seven-day moving average increased to over 2,400 cash-game seats, which hasn't been witnessed since March.

888poker is hoping to exceed its January 2014 peak of 3,000 players sometime during the winter season, and the site should have a good chance to do so provided there are no more issues on the network.

During the last winter season, 888poker enjoyed a 30-percent growth. The online poker operator is already generating 8.5 percent more traffic than this time in 2013, giving it good reason to expect to break its record traffic.
